The designer Gabrielle Geppert cultivates a style of her own, midway between rock-chic and romantic. Her youth was spent collecting rare vintage pieces here and there to create her own looks.
Having traveled all over the world and amassed an impressive collection of unique vintage acessories and clothes, this globetrotting autodidact chose to settle in Paris.
The choice of the City of Light was obvious: its beauty, rythm, vitality and rich history of Fashion all provide endless sources of inspiration.
Gabrielle opened her first vintage boutique at 31 Galerie Montpensier, in the romantic and mysterious Jardins du Palais Royal. Surrounded by the most beautiful couture pieces (Chanel, Hermès, YSL among others) all of them masterpieces of “savoir-faire”, Gabrielle developed and nurtured her inspiration. The desire to create her own label seemed the next natural step.
Gabrielle gives us her own vision of Fashion: timeless, durable, and authentic. The pieces she creates are often unique, especially trench coats and jackets, and they are always immaculately put together, down to the last detail. The designer takes all the time she needs to reach perfection, and makes a point of choosing only the very best materials and most talented artisans.
THE ESSENCE OF THE LABEL
The Jardins du Palais Royal, which combine architectural classicism with the beauty of nature provide recurrant themes in Gabrielle Geppert's work. The geometric planting of the trees, the intricately choreographed flowerbeds, the immuability of the stone and calm mystery of the place fascinate her.
Linearity is at the heart of her collections: her jewelry is a series of declensions of her logo "GG", as is the canvas of the graphic and uncluttered handbags.
Nature is also ever-present. Gabrielle creates accessories made from vegetable tanned leather, floral print jackets and t-shirts, portraying on occasion animals, or the roses that abound in the Jardins.
In harmony with the designer's personality, these are contemporary pieces, casual and chic, that she jokingly likes to define as "graphic poetic".
